«Мамона неправедности». Это довольно претенциозное выражение употребляется по отношению к богатству или добытому неправедным путём, или используемому нечестно. Оно имеет библейское происхождение: And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. — И Я говорю вам: приобретайте себе друзей богатством неправедным, чтобы они, когда обнищаете, приняли вас в вечные обители (От Луки 16:9). Слово mammon образовалось от древнееврейского mamon, что означает деньги, богатство. В раннем употреблении — обозначение дьявола алчности, жадности. Позднее — олицетворение богатства как источника зла. No man can serve two masters... Ye cannot serve God and mammon. — Никто не может служить двум господам...
